We have reached the final deliberation.  Please reread the conversation you had yesterday regarding who was most guilty between John Q. and Tuck Lampley.  After having read the conversation, please vote ONCE on who is most guilty.

We have reached the point where we have widdled down our criminal suspects.  Now you must present your case: who is most criminal from the movie John Q: John Q or Tuck Lampley?  Explain.

I have temporarily closed our discussion post for us to reflect on our conversation from the past few days.  This is a poll based upon our previous conversation on who is most criminal from the movie John Q.  Please take time to reread your posts and vote on who you think is most criminal.  YOU ONLY HAVE ONE VOTE.  Make it count!

For this assignment, I am asking you to hold an online forum where you will be asked to consider which character should be considered most criminal.

 Who was most criminal?

• Dr. Raymond Turner (James Woods)/Rebecca Payne (Anne Heche)
• Insurance Company (HMO)
• Lt. Frank Grimes (Robert Duvall)/Chief Gus Monroe (Ray Liotta)
• Tuck Lampley (reporter: Paul Johansson)

 The requirements:

• You must FIRST post about who you think is most criminal.  In addition, you must support with evidence, your position.
• After you have posted, remember to respond DIRECTLY to someone.  Ask them to support their argument.  Ask them to provide evidence and a clear rationale.  Incorporate ideas drawn from our class assignments and discussions.
• Remember to be polite during the course of this conversation.  This is an academic conversation where we are trying to reach consensus.
• Proofread your writing for grammatical errors, spelling, syntax, subject-verb agreement, etc
• Use specific names, accounts, perspective and accurately incorporates these into your answer
• Be sure to use quotes to analyze in your response
• Your answer is more analytical than descriptive (please see rubric for details)
• Your answer answers the question
• At the end of every 48 hours, a poll will be placed where you will be asked to vote jury style on who from the movie John Q is most criminal.
• This blog will be open until Tuesday, December 8th.
• Check this site often and respond often. Throughout the conversation, I will also be blogging and throwing out specific questions to people/the class.  And have fun!

Part I of your final assignment is to visit the following site:

Explore the site and tell me in a comment what you learned about the UN.  Perhaps you might want to talk about the strengths and/or weaknesses of the UN.  You might want to talk about the structure  of the organization.  Just be able to articulate something concrete you learned about the UN. This is due by Wednesday, June 10th at 11pm.  This will count as a quiz grade!

Part II of your final assessment is to bring in your textbooks.  All textbooks must be returned by Wednesday, June 10th.  This will also count as a quiz grade!
